Santa-Shaped Food for Holiday Festivities

Santa-Shaped Food: There’s always room for a splendid Santa at the table anytime during December, whether for breakfast, lunch, appetizer or dessert!

Santa might appear on the breakfast plate, or an appetizer tray. Or he might make an appearance for dessert in fruit, cookies or cake. Any time he shows up, he is welcome at the table.

Let’s start the day with Santa Pancakes, from Taste of Japan. She shows you how to assemble them, although you can probably figure it out from her great photo alone. You could use whipped cream for the beard, or coconut cream if you want non-dairy hair. My kids would be in favor of starting EVERY day with Santa.

Speaking of amazing ways to start a morning, this Golden Santa Bread from The Food Charlatan would be wonderful to wake up to! Karen has a great tutorial to help you along.

And this Buttermilk Honey Santa Bread by Renee of Kudos Kitchen by Renee would absolutely make any meal in December. It will be the star of the show! Renee is an artist in real life, and her kitchen artistry with food is becoming legendary.

The clever Santa Veggie Tray created by Diana Johnson at Eating Richly Even When You’re Broke puts the attention on the healthy food, and is a whimsical way to get everyone reaching for the fresh vegetables.

Christmas Santa Crackers will put the “wow” in the party, from Catch My Party. Ritz crackers are the base, then sun-dried tomatoes, Jack cheese, cream cheese and currants for the eyes. Genius!

Santa Strawberries are one of the easiest fruit desserts you could ever dream up. Jeanette of Jeanette’s Healthy Living shows you how. It’s just a berry stuffed with whipped cream, with mini chocolate chips for eyes. Simple Santa, indeed!

To gild the lily just a bit, Rachel from Baked By Rachel gives us Mini Santa Hat Cheesecakes, featuring a chocolate cookie crust and eggnog-flavored cheesecake. Swoon!
