It wasn’t long after I discovered fresh lychees that I also discovered they could be used to infuse their unique flavor in vodka.
Yeah, I went there, and I think you should, too!
Straight up or over some crushed ice, this is a strong cocktail for the adventurous. Isn’t that you?
Live a little. Summer’s almost here and school’s almost out. Yikes!
Recipe: Fresh Lychee Vodka Cocktail
Summary: Vodka infused with the unique tropical flavors of fresh lychees make an unforgettable lychee cocktail.

Instructions
- Peel and seed lychees and place them in a tight-lidded glass jar. Pour in vodka, tighten lid and allow to steep for 5-7 days, unmolested. You might want to put a note on the jar so you don’t break into it too soon.

can i keep the lychees in the vodka indefinitely or do i have to remove them?
Suzi,
It has never lasted that long for me, so I don’t know! I would be concerned just a bit about food safety issues (something growing on the lychee after a long time), but I truly do not know.
do i infuse in the fridge or on the counter?
Suzi,
I infused in my pantry. I just set the jar next to the other booze bottles, with that note on it, and I put a reminder in my calendar so it would pop up and tell me it was ready.
Nice site and nice post.

Oh! I am drooling as I read this. This is peak lychee time in India. I have got to go buy some now. No, not when it’s 44C outside. In the evening for sure.
I’m in! Delicious!
