Banana Bread and Cream Cheese

This pairing seems obvious to me, but often enough when I mention it to people, they have never heard of spreading cream cheese on banana bread and calling it breakfast.

Let me tell you, this is a call you want to take! The slightly sweet bread combined with the tangy soft cheese is heavenly, with a cup of tea or coffee. My children love it, too.

Make Old-School Sour Cream Banana Bread, smear it with whipped cream cheese, and start your day.

If this idea is old hat to you, smile smugly, secure in the knowledge that you have been there, done that.

If it is a new concept for you, give it a whirl! You won’t be sorry.

I’m making this now. I’m supposed to be working at home today, but I’ve got a sick kid and can’t seem to motivate…so, I’m off to make your banana bread…luckily I did not dump my mushy nanas…last night I made chocolate muffins, using leftover valentines chocolates as chips…the girls had those for breakfast…yum
