Recipe: Truffled Edamame Snack
Summary: Truffled Edamame is a sophisticated yet simple two-ingredient snack for Super Bowl, or any time you need a unique appetizer. Truffle Salt is expensive, but worth it. You’ll end up using it on everything!
Ingredients
- Cooked edamame (soybeans), shelled
- Truffle salt
Instructions
- Put cooked edamame in a pretty bowl. Sprinkle with truffle salt.
- Voila!
Quick notes
You may find the shelled, cooked edamame in a well-stocked supermarket. Be sure to buy the unsalted variety, since you will be salting them yourself.
If you can’t find them already shelled and cooked, you can usually find them frozen, either shelled or still in the shell. Cook briefly in boiling water (3-5 minutes, usually), cool and then truffle them up!
Variations
Smoky version: Instead of truffle salt, sprinkle with smoked paprika and a pinch of sea salt.
Preparation time: 1 minute (a few minutes more if you need to cook them yourself)
Diet type: Vegan
Culinary tradition: USA (Nouveau)
