I love how flavorful everything is on your site. Everything I’ve cooked makes my daughter happy because of the interesting flavors. Thanks!
–Stephanie P.
A new fan over here (and a new cook). Can I just tell you that EVERY SINGLE dish of yours that I have made has been so delicious! I am actually terrible at cooking, but I am now a stay at home mom and thought I’d give it (yet another) try. I can’t believe what I make actually comes out edible. Haha! I owe huge thanks to you. My husband is definitely loving it!
–Nina N.
“This Sweet Tomato Basil Bisque is awesome!”

“I’ve been officially addicted to this Lemony Garbanzo Kale Salad with Tuna for the past month. Tonight I ran out of garbanzo beans, so I added fresh corn cut off the cob (uncooked) to go with the tuna. SO GOOD!!! Other variations that I’ve added over the past few batches–in addition to the spices listed, I add a dash of dill (always good with any fish) and Japanese pepper (the togarashi in the little green labeled bottle–not the red one. The green one seems to taste like lemon pepper). I’ve been making it every week.”
–Vera D.

These Flourless Caramel Oat Cookies are awesome!!! I am allergic to wheat and have a hard time finding recipes my family enjoys. This was a huge hit. Thank you for such a great recipe!
–Julene N., Tampa, Florida

“Scrumdeliumptious!” That’s how my daughter described the Flourless Caramel Oat Cookies we made today. I’m just calling them dangerous. Great recipe!
–Michelle T., Malibu, Calif.

As usual, your recipes are right on! This Indian Dal Nirvana is my new favorite!  I love that I can make a recipe of yours for the first time and serve it to company.  Thanks, Dorothy!

–Mary T., Malibu, Calif.

Oh man, I made this pie (Meyer Lemon Chess Pie) and am in fact having a piece for breakfast right now. SUPER YUMMM! Meyer Lemon Season should indeed be a holiday; you have my solemn promise that if I am ever elected president, that will be first on the agenda, 8 a.m., Day One. But enough politickin’; I’m going back to my great big slice of sunshine pie and watching everyone else here at work wondering what my big silly grin is about *this* time. Thank you once again and a thousand times to follow, Beautiful Pie Fairy, for sharing your genius with us!
–Sue S., Newbury Park, CA

Holy cow! This Green Chile Stew is so good!!! I love spicy food and this hits the spot.

–Marilee R., Eugene, Oregon

I made your Weeknight Skillet Shrimp two days ago and it was such a hit my family wants it every day! Looking forward to trying many more.

Best potatoes I’ve had and soooo easy! (Crispy Smashers)
–Gable G., Brooklyn, N.Y.
I seriously love your recipes because they are always yummy and super easy! I am making your Crispy Smashers into “smashed potato skinish things” — just adding bacon and green onions and cheese, and calling it a meal!

–Anne G., Calabasas, Calif.

I made the Crispy Smashers for the first time last night and served them to company. They were fantastic! I mixed garlic olive oil, lemon olive oil, and regular olive oil in a bowl with salt, then brushed the potatoes with the mixture. Yum! They are my family’s new favorite! Thanks!”

–Mary T., Malibu, Calif.

Yum are these Crispy Smashers ever fantastic! I made them with smallish red potatoes and between the two of us we ate six of them. What a great tip to use the paper plate. It made smashing them so easy and made for a great clean up too. Thanks Dorothy for sharing this recipe and also for the easy picture instructions.
–Leisa, Oregon

Oh! WOW! I made 3 of these Crispy Smashers last night for myself and that was my dinner. They were delicious! I’ve already shared the recipe with a friend. Thanks for this delicious recipe.
–Bara Lake, Knoxville, TN

In a botched attempt to make a delicious meatless dish, you fried up an egg with bacon fat, hit it with grated cheese, truffle salt and fresh ground pepper, and came out the other end with one of the best looking dishes I’ve seen in weeks! Call me a sucker, but I might be able to eat this Bacon Fat Fried Egg without any hot sauce! Righteous!

Your Smoked Salmon with Caramelized Onion Quiche was a huge success at my brunch for 15 people!
–Rick A., Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Thank you for the joy you bring me & my kitchen.
–Nena L., Malibu, Calif.

AMAZING, indeed (Amazing Grilled Corn at Cafe Habana)! Talk about truly tasty…shockingly delicious, even!! Wow, wow, wow. Thanks, Dorothy!
--Barbara W., Las Vegas, Nev.

My every attempt at a cobbler has been a terrible failure. Made the Very Berry Pie Bars Friday and was told by my other half to stick with it and stop searching. Oh, so good!
–Valerie M., Ontario, Calif.

I love your Fruit Kebab recipe! I made them for my son’s basketball team party and they were a hit. It was so easy that both my kids were able to help. They also got a little creative in the process. This recipe will be one of my standards. Thanks!
–Leah C., Malibu, Calif.

I made the Teeny Tiny Pies a few weeks ago, and they were a HUGE hit. Love ‘em!
–Julie L., San Francisco, Calif.

After years of cooking your delicious recipes (the yams, dear, the heavenly yams!), I am so happy that you have this site with even more things for me to try. Yummmm…
–Sonda J., Wilmington, North Carolina

Oh. My. G-d. I have just snarfed down 2.5 of these beauties in less than 6 minutes (Amazing Grilled Corn at Café Habana). These tickle every taste bud’s property in the real estate of the tongue…sweet, creamy, crunchy, spicy, sour(cream) . Seriously, if I had to choose a final meal you can bet your bottom dollar that this corn would be included! Thanks Dorothy, again you rule!
–Christina H., Topanga, Calif.

Thanks so much for all of your recipes. I look forward to your food wisdom every day. You’ve made our meals shockinglydelicious, thank you very much. Your Fresh Blueberry Pie became an instant favorite. It was fabulous, the best blueberry pie I had ever eaten. I love the fact that the blueberries aren’t cooked. I like to add one or two melon ball-size scoops of vanilla ice cream to the top if I have the extra calories to spend! And my mom made both of your Halloween recipes for a party that they went to, and they were the HIT of the partaaay! The shortbread “digits” and Deviled Spider Eggs were both very cool.
–Holly C., New Jersey

Amazingly good Fresh Blueberry Pie, with the brightness of the lemon juice and zest cutting through the sweetness of the fruit.
–Cotty

Congrats on having your Fresh Blueberry Pie called “genius” by Evan Kleiman!
–Cassy C., Hacienda Heights, Calif.

I made the Basil Honey Dressing last night and it was AWESOME! The burst of flavor from the fresh basil was amazing on my arugula salad. Also, I used local wildflower NJ honey with orange honey white balsamic and it was great.
–John B., New Jersey

The Agua Fresca Watermelon Lemonade recipe you posted was so popular at my house that my family demanded that I go back and find your blog to tell you that everyone thinks it fantastic. A big round of never-ending applause for you. Thank you from all us at that Olsson home.
–The Olsson family, Arvika, Sweden

I’ve always enjoyed the recipes you printed. I knew if you took the time to mention a particular recipe that it had to be good.
–Anne S., California

Had a last minute crowd for dinner tonight and tried the Sticky Lemon-Oregano Chicken. So easy and SO FABULOUS!!! Thank you, thank you!!
–Debbie M., Malibu, Calif.

I love your site – I love to see each step. It’s perfect for this visual learner. REALLY GREAT WEBSITE!
–Laurel B., Ashland, Oregon

You are a dangerously delicious friend to have!
–Susie P., Malibu, Calif.

These Salted Brown Butter Crispy Treats are deadly good. We are fortunate enough to have Dorothy as a neighbor and we all wait patiently to pounce on a sample of anything she makes. These things caused a fight in the house, causing my son to break out the big eyes and puffed lip in an effort to get the last one. Better luck next time kid…sometimes Dad comes first, and these represent one of those times.
–Gregg B., Malibu, Calif.

Strawberry Lassi is my new favorite lunch–had it every single day last week!!!
–Kathie F., Malibu, Calif.

Just discovered your tantalizing, blog. I feel like a cartoon cat following smell lines to the kitchen… and you are there! With World’s Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich… an opium dream…
–Debbie F., Columbus, Ohio

Mustard Jar Vinaigrette is one of those recipes that makes you smack your forehead and say, “Why didn’t I think of that?” That’s why we have you, Dorothy! Thanks!
–Marci C., Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Thanksgiving was a smashing success thanks to your Southwest Stuffing AND the schwing-a-ding-ding Coffee Toffee Pecan Pie! Thanks a million for sharing your recipes and wisdom ♥ (And I felt like a superstar).
–Christina H., Topanga, Calif.

Have just spent the morning reading every recipe on your site. The Slow Cooker has been retrieved from the back of the cupboard and the Caramelized Onions have just started cooking! In Australia we are beginning to see the signs of winter already and a number of your recipes have inspired me to move on from BBQ and salad every night! Finding your site has been wonderful — has inspired me to start trying new things and also made me think about all the old faithfuls I have lying around. Thank you for your inspiration!
