Passover, the eight-day Jewish holiday, is filled with questions.

Why is this night different from all other nights?

White Chocolate Matzo Treats recipe on ShockinglyDelicious.comThe answer, my friends, if you will forgive my glibness, is this: Because tonight we have the most amazing matzo treats for dessert, created by my foodie friend Valentina from the blog Cooking on the Weekends.

3-ingredient White Chocolate Matzo Treats recipe on ShockinglyDelicious.comThey’re sweet, crunchy, sparkly and utterly addictive. Make them, whether you celebrate Passover or not.

3-Ingredient White Chocolate Matzo Treats

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Serves 6

Addictive, sweet and crunchy White Chocolate Matzo Treats are an easy dessert treat for Passover. Sprinkles make everything better.

Ingredients

  • 2 matzo crackers
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate (specifically called melting chocolate), either chips or finely chopped
  • Sprinkles

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Break the matzo crackers into pieces. Valentina breaks them into three vertical pieces. I broke them into smaller shards; suit yourself. They can be any shape or size. Place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a small, deep bowl or mug, either in the microwave or in a double boiler. If you use a microwave, melt it in 30-second increments, stirring each time you pause.
  4. Holding one end of the matzo, gently dip the bottom third into the chocolate. As you lift it out, let any excess drip off. Because I had smaller pieces, I used a small offset spatula to spread the melted chocolate all over the top of my matzo pieces.
  5. Place the dipped matzos back onto the baking sheet as you go. Immediately sprinkle them with the sprinkles, while the chocolate is still wet. The more the merrier, I say. Let them dry on the baking sheet at room temperature, about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve!
  7. Makes 6 pieces if you do it her way, or a billion trillion pieces if you do it my way.

Dorothy, Passover is my favorite Jewish holiday (no surprise there) and I’m a huge fan of dessert, so these are tailor-made for my Seder. I love the color coordination of the blue-and-white ones too.
